Mantovano
Created in Manuta, Italy, during the 1100's,
Mantua limestone created a more fluid lime than the Venetian
lime did, resulting in a finish that had to be applied by
brush and trowel. It creates a gorgeous finish that's interesting
and smooth at the same time. It can cover imperfections in
the drywall and 'orange peel' that many homes have now. After
it cures (30 days) it is as hard as stone and very durable.
This Mantovano is from the Safra line of
plasters.
